A VentSaver is a snow diverter that mounts on the roof above a vent pipe, flue or chimney and splits sliding snow around it — so the moving snowfield can't bend, shear or rip the penetration out of your metal roof. Three models — EZ, HD and the chimney-grade Extreme — plus standalone standing seam and screw-down mounting plates, all shipping from Paris, Ontario in Canadian dollars.

Why vents fail in winter
When a metal roof releases, tonnes of consolidated snow slide as one sheet. A plumbing stack, flue or chimney in its path bends flat, snaps off or tears flashing — often invisibly, under the snow.
Even without a slide, the snowpack creeps downslope all winter — bending pipes a few millimetres at a time until flashings tear and the boot leaks.
A sheared vent isn't a pipe problem — it's a roof leak, an attic moisture problem, and for gas flues and chimneys a venting hazard. The diverter costs less than the service call.
