The SnoCleat™ PBR is a bracket-style snow guard made from extruded 6061 aluminum for exposed-fastener PBR and R-panel metal roofs. It mounts on the flat of the panel and screws through into the purlin, the same way a pad guard does, but its bracket profile gives sliding snow a larger surface to push against. Sold single or in 10-packs from our warehouse in Paris, Ontario.
Pad-style guards hold snow with a small face. The SnoCleat PBR installs the same way, screwed through the flat into structure, but its extruded aluminum bracket presents more holding surface to the snowpack. Add the optional slide-in colour strip and it blends into the roof.

It depends on four things: roof pitch, the length of the panel run from eave to ridge, the panel profile, and your local ground snow load under the National Building Code of Canada (Ss/Sr). Steeper, longer and snowier roofs need more rows. SnoCleat PBR guards go in staggered rows across the roof, following the SnoCleat PBR spacing guidelines for your pitch and snow load. Send us your roof details and we'll lay it out for free.
It installs the same way, screwed through the panel flat into the purlin, but it's an extruded aluminum bracket that gives the snow a larger holding surface, and it can take a colour strip to match your roof.
No. The 10-pack is guards only. Use metal roofing screws matched to your wood or steel purlins, or ask us to quote them with your order.
No. It's made for exposed-fastener PBR and R-panel roofs. For standing seam, use the clamp-on SnoCleat RC, which needs no panel penetrations.
