The SSRA3 is a 6061-T6 aluminum spanner plate that bolts across two SSRA1 anchors on adjacent seams. The result is a non-penetrating anchorage on a standing seam metal roof: a single-person tie-off point, an end anchor for a temporary horizontal lifeline, or a solid mounting base for walkways and rooftop equipment.

What the SSRA3 anchor plate does on a standing seam roof

• Turns two SSRA1 seam anchors into a single-person tie-off point (one worker, 310 lbs max)
• Anchors each end of a temporary horizontal lifeline — it's the base of the SSRA 100' lifeline kit
• Gives you a flat, non-penetrating mounting surface for equipment such as walkways, walkboard brackets, handrail mounts, HVAC, solar or satellite gear (attachments must be approved by a qualified person)
• Forged D-ring mounts vertically or horizontally through the four centre holes

How the SSRA3 mounts on two SSRA1 anchors

Install two SSRA1 anchors in line on adjacent seams, level with each other. Slide the plate over both anchors so its grooves line up with the top bolt holes, leave equal overhang at each end, and bolt it down with the supplied Grade 8 hardware. No drilling, no roof penetrations. Use only SSRA1 anchors with this plate.

The SSRA system is tested to ANSI/OSHA requirements. It is not CSA Z259 certified — confirm compliance requirements with your provincial authority or project engineer before use in fall-arrest applications.
