The clamp that started it all. This is the heavy 12-gauge, 304 stainless steel seam clamp that mounts SnoBar® and ColorBar® snow rails to standing seam metal roofs — a direct derivative of the very first seam-mounted snow-rail clamp introduced by SnoBar in 1992. Decades of field history, none of the guesswork.
It attaches to your roof with two included cup-tip set screws that bite into the standing seam and form a posi-lock connection — no holes, no fasteners through the panel, and no voided roof warranty. Because the clamp is carried by the panel seam itself rather than relying on the set screws alone, you get a structurally stable anchor point for the full snow-retention system.
This clamp is top-loading: it drops straight onto the seam and does not need to be fed up the roof or threaded onto the bar in sequence. Crews spend less time per attachment, which means lower labour on every standing seam project — one of the reasons this design has been the benchmark for over 30 years.
This is the dedicated mounting clamp for the SnoBar® and ColorBar® continuous bar systems — the strongest snow retention available for steep pitches, long rafter runs, and high snow-load regions across Canada. Cup-tip set screws hold far better than slippery round- or oval-nose screws and require less torque, so they're gentler on the seam while still locking the bar solidly in place.

Important — clamp fit is seam-profile dependent. This top-loading stainless clamp is designed for asymmetrical standing seam profiles (the common mechanical-lock and snap-lock panels). If your roof uses a symmetrical bulb seam or "T" seam, you'll need the RoofClamp RCT with the RCB-3 bracket instead. Not sure which seam you have? Send us a photo or panel name and we'll confirm the right clamp before you buy — call (437) 475-2066.
Compatible with the standing seam panels installed most often across Canada — including Vicwest, Westman Steel, Westform, London Eco-Metal, Ottawa Valley Metal, Classic Products (ClickLock & Armadura), Interlock, and CLM Steel Roofing — when the seam profile matches.
Please read before ordering. SnoBar® and ColorBar® components are sold as a complete component kit or as a project-designed system specified by the manufacturer or an architectural/structural engineer. Clamp spacing must follow the engineered layout for your roof's slope, panel width, building length, and regional snow load. These clamps are not sold for the purpose of assembling your own rail system, and doing so falls outside the product warranty. Need a layout? We'll provide a free spacing recommendation for your project.

No. The clamp grips the standing seam using two cup-tip set screws — there are no screws or holes through the roof panel, so it won't compromise the seams or the roof warranty.
No. SnoBar® and ColorBar® are engineered systems. Clamp spacing must follow a layout designed for your roof and snow load. These clamps are sold as part of a designed system, and assembling your own configuration is not covered by warranty. We provide free layout guidance.
It's top-loading — it drops directly onto the seam without being fed up the roof or threaded along the bar. Fewer steps per attachment means less labour on the job.
Yes — it ships from our facility in Paris, Ontario, with no duties and no border delays.
Safety note: snow rails and seam clamps are for snow retention only. Never use a snow guard, snow rail, or roof clamp as a fall-protection tie-off or stepping point.
